YAHSAT, Calyon sole lead arranger of a USD 270 million Bond Facility Agreement for EADS and Thales

Calyon, acting as sole lead arranger, has issued a several guarantees for a global amount of about USD 270 million to cover the sale of a Telecommunications Satellite project to YAHSAT (Al Yah Satellite Communications Company), a company controlled by the government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

At the request of Astrium SAS (EADS Group) and Thales Alenia Space France (Thales Group) associated through a consortium, Calyon has structured and successfully syndicated the bonds to two bank pools.

This first significant deal for Calyon in satellite finance with two major exporting clients will promote the reinforcement of corporate banking services relationship, as well as the cross-selling of other commercial transactions for the bank.
