Calyon closes the first ever IAS compliant Securitization in Spain, in favour of Prosegur

Calyon closed the first ever IAS compliant Securitization in Spain, in favour of Prosegur. The timing of the closing is impressive because of surrounding difficulties in the market, and required strong support from Calyon's management.

Calyon has securitized receivables in Spain and Portugal and France's portfolio will be incorporated during 2008. The transaction is strategic for the company that has closed it to fund future general purpose needs (including future adquisitions) jointly with existing unused long term credit lines.

Prosegur is a company quoted in Madrid, with a EUR 1,7 billion market cap, operating in the Securiy industry in 13 countries as leader in most of them, specialy in Spain, Portugal and Latam
