Calyon participates in the financing of the new capex phase of Digitel Mobile
, the third Filipino mobile operator, with respect to its network expansion in two regions, Visayas-Mindanao (USD 48 million buyer credit facility) and North Luzon (USD 44 million buyer credit facility).
Ericsson is the supplier and EKN the Export Credit Agency covering the two buyer credits. The financing is guaranteed by the parent companies, Digital Telecommunication and JG Summit. The two facilities are arranged by ING and financed by ING, SG and Calyon. An interesting feature is the funding of the two facilities via AB SEK which means no liquidity costs for the banks.
