Calyon, Administrative Agent, Adviser and Bookrunner of a USD 227 million financing for Industrias Peñoles

Calyon was mandated Administrative Agent, Adviser and Bookrunner of a USD 227 million financing for Industrias Peñoles, dedicated to Thermoelectric Peñoles (TEP), a 240 mw pet coke fired power plant located in Mexico.

The transaction was closed on December 21st, 2007, and among the partial bank group, Calyon was the only bank biding for the interest rate swap which was executed entirely for a notional amount of USD 215 million.

Peñoles Industrias is the world's top producer of refined silver, metallic bismuth and sodium sulfate and the leading Latin-American producer of gild, refined lead and zinc.
