The principles of sustainable development have been adopted by all Crédit Agricole group entities.
In all its activities, Calyon strives to observe and apply the Crédit Agricole corporate values of developing long-term relationships with its clients and thus with society as a whole. Such lasting relations are built on a deep commitment to the development of solutions that serve the general interest.
In response to this objective, Calyon is helping create the "Quantitative Finance and Sustainable Development Chair" at the Université de Paris-Dauphine and is also one of the first banks to promote compliance with the social and environmental standards for project finance supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Cheuvreux, Calyon's equity brokerage and research subsidiary, introduced a socially responsible dimension to its European financial research.
