Calyon, the official partner of Stade Français Paris

Calyon is happy to support the team's ambitions and the values behind the sport of rugby
The first season of our partnership, 2003/2004, proved difficult for the team, and on our side, we were just starting to merge the Finance and Investment Banking businesses of Crédit Agricole and Crédit Lyonnais. However, by the time the merger was completed in May 2004, Calyon was born and the team had met its objectives. In 2004, the team won the French Championships for the second year in a row, and last year, reached the finals of two leading tournaments, including the European Rugby Cup.

Shared values

We wanted to become the official partner of Stade Français Paris, not only because the club and team are so well-known, but also because it introduces people to our new brand and allows us to offer our customers high-quality public relations. In addition, the sport of rugby corresponds with our values and those of our customers, who are major corporations and financial institutions.

"Winning, cohesion, and team spirit correspond with the values of our company," affirms Bertrand Hugonet, Calyon's Head of Communications.

 Calyon supports Rainbow Bridge

« Helping women and children rebuild following a natural disaster »
The Rainbow Bridge foundation, under the aegis of the Fondation de France, was established on September 16, 2005 by its three founding members: Franck Dargent, an employee of Calyon, Crédit Agricole Solidarité et Développement and Accor.

It was founded subsequent to the tsunami that devastated Southeast Asia on December 26, 2004, for the purpose of providing local development support, in particular in the areas of public health, social services and education, to countries or dependencies affected by natural disasters or chronic food shortages.
As a priority, the foundation supports development, educational and social protection projects concerning mothers and their children.
Its first major project was completed in 2006 and involved the rehabilitation of an old hospital in Myieck (Myanmar) on the Andaman Sea where, further along the coast, the tsunami had hit Thailand in 2004.
Together with the Franco-Asian Medical Association (AMFA), the dilapidated hospital was entirely rebuilt and outfitted. It now has a pediatrics ward including an area for premature babies and a gynecology and maternity ward with an intensive care unit.
This new "Mothers' and Children's hospital" was officially inaugurated last October.

Back from Asia where he held a series of capital markets positions at Calyon, Franck Dargent is currently pursuing his career in the Paris trading room. As a founding member of the Rainbow Bridge foundation, in 2005 and 2006 he also took part in allocating €2 million in financial aid provided by Crédit Agricole to the stricken areas in Southeast Asia under the aegis of Crédit Agricole Solidarité et Développement.

Calyon contributes to post-tsunami reconstruction projects by allocating €0.10 to the Rainbow Bridge foundation for each 2007 greeting card sold.

Many other projects are also under way.
