Calyon is a member of all major commodity exchanges and associated trade organizations. Our London and New York based team is at the forefront of international commodity brokerage.

Calyon are a ring dealing member of the London Metal Exchange and subsequently a market maker of traditional futures and option contracts.

 Energy derivatives


Calyon's Capital Markets department deals with the trading of commodity derivatives specialising in the energy sector covering mainly oil producers, oil refiners, oil traders and end users.

These end users may be:
- airlines,
- ship-owners,
- ship managers,
- utilities, metal smelters, glass, steel and cement manufacturers,
- transportation groups,
- sugar refiners.

Similarly, both traders and distributors of many types of oil products including natural gas, heating oil and also electricity, may trade with Calyon. All transactions are traded in the "Over the Counter" market and are usually tailor made to meet client requirements.
