Global Management Challenge Euromanager, 7 teams coached by Calyon
For the sixth year running, the Crédit Agricole s.a. Group is sponsoring teams in the Global Management Challenge Euromanager.
At this stage of the competition, 7 teams coached by Calyon have been qualified and are now taking part in the semi-final ending on 25th March.
The Global Management Challenge reflects the high-risk business environment.
Competing companies have to take up global challenges such as computer viruses, logistic issues, political conflicts… so many events which affect entire markets and world resources. Business leaders need to learn how to shield against such threats and to react quickly to cushion their impact. This is the exciting environment in which the Euromanager adventure takes place.
An intense and realistic game
Organised in pools of 5 to 7 teams, all the competitors have access to the same data concerning a company at the beginning of each stage: financial and technical balance sheet, overall audit of the company: raw materials, stocks, human resources, marketing, communication, R&D, competitive intelligence, new technologies… as well as the stock market prices of the five previous quarters.
One and only objective for the candidates: to maximise the appreciation of a company's stock market price by managing its activity during five quarters.
The heats were spread over five weeks, with one week for each virtual quarter. From then on, the rate sped up, and the semi-finals is only lasting 4 weeks.
At the end of each stage, the best teams are qualified on the basis of the highest achieved stock market price.
The French final will take place in one single day, on 1st of April at the Sorbonne University, in Paris.
The winner will participate to the international final, on the 15th and 16th April, in Bucharest.
