AWARDS

The Global Loan Syndication Group, Asia Pacific won a number of awards from several, well known market journals. The Tata Steel Corus GBP 3.67 billion acquisition financing won the "Best Syndicated Loan in 2007" from IFR, Euroweek, Asiamoney and The Assets. This deal was also recognised as "India Country Best Deal in 2007" by The Assets. This syndicated loan is the largest ever non recourse loan in Asia, the proceeds of which were used by Tata to acquire Corus in the UK, the second largest steel producer in Europe.

Calyon was also awarded "Best Arranger of Loans for Philippines Borrowers in 2007" by Euroweek. This accolade reflects Calyon's recent achievements in the country, having successfully arranged and bookrun a number of signature deals in the Philippines, such as the USD 1,080 million acquisition loan to Crimson Power Holding and the USD 1,200 million loan to San Miguel Corporation.

LEAGUE TABLES

Calyon's outstanding capability in arranging and distributing syndicated loans is reflected in our strong performance in the Asian bookrunning league tables:

1 in Philippines In addition to the "Philippine Country Award", our top league table ranking by both Thomson Financial and Reuters reinforces our strong franchise in the country.

N°2 in South Korea In 2007, Calyon structured 18 deals in the country, arranging most of the Financial Institution deals that came to market. Year on year, Calyon consistently maintains a top spot in the South Korean league tables.

N°4 in Hong Kong In 2007, Calyon arranged 17 transactions pitting Calyon as the fourth largest Bookrunner in the region, just behind HSBC, Citibank and Standard Chartered.

N°5 in Asia (ex-Japan & Australia) 2007 saw record volumes across the region with US$ 112 billion of loans arranged. Calyon maintained a strong position as one of the top five bookrunners in the market, sharing this spot with Citibank, HSBC, BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered.
