Calyon has been officially mandated by Qatari Diar (QD) as Mandated Lead Aranger and Bookrunner for a USD 2.5 billion Ijara syndicated facility to finance QD Chelsea barracks acquisiton in London. Calyon will also act as Overall coordinating bank, Information memorandum and Interest/ Rent Hedge coordinator in this transaction which involves 4 other banks. This will be the largest islamic/ property related financing ever done in the United Kingdom and Calyon's first visible deal with Qatar Investment Authority.
