The 6th Annual European CDO Summit was held from October 17 to 19 in Monte Carlo (Monaco). This three-day conference, consisting of presentations and panels, was designed to familiarise institutional investors with the world of collateral debt securities in the European markets. The conference also provided a forum where the broker/dealers, rating agencies, lawyers and accountants could learn new techniques to maximise profits in this dynamic segment of the market. The attendees from Calyon had four speaking slots. Benjamin Jacquard, Global Head of Credit Markets Trading, was a panelist on "Developments in synthetic CDO Markets" and on "CLO's" topics. Ally Chow, Global Head of Credit Markets Product Management, was a moderator on "Credit CPPI" and Sachin Panel, Director of Cash Structuring CDO, joins the panel on the "Update on Cash Flow and Market Value CDO Markets". On Wednesday night, investors, asset managers and other industry professionals were invited to vote for the "Investment Bank of the Year" 2007. Nominated with Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch, Calyon was awarded for its outstanding customer service and innovation.
