Calyon acted as a Bookrunner and Main Lead Arranger in a USD 440 million 3-year Islamic Syndicated Murabaha Financing for Bahrain based Awal Bank. Calyon acted also as Facility Agent and Documentation Bank in this transaction which involved 29 financial institutions. Awal Bank is part of the Saad Group of companies and provides wholesale banking services including commercial lending, corporate and trade finance, Islamic product offerings, investment banking services, deposit acceptances and treasury services. Nicholas Trad was the lead banker involved with Dale Summerville and Daniel Chion from the Syndications team, and Belqis Mutin and Saad Rahman representing Calyon Global Islamic.
