Calyon was mandated Bookrunner and Administrative Agent for Usiminas USD 300 million Stand-By Export Prepayment facility, to replace the existing USD 250 million facility arranged by Calyon as Sole Bookrunner in 2005. The facility provides a 3-year availability period for drawdowns to the company. The syndication was a success: it was 2 times oversubscribed, with 20 prime banks joining the transaction. Usiminas is Latin America's biggest flat steel group.
