Since its creation back in 1979, Euromanager has asserted itself as a particularly relevant and realistic corporate strategy contest.

 The Crédit Agricole S.A. Group, partner of the 2008 challenge


For the sixth year in a row, the Crédit Agricle S.A. Group is a partner in the French section of the Euromanager international strategy contest as official sponsor alongside i.a. PPR and SFR. This cooperation illustrates the Group's willingness to build with the students a real partnership based on team spirit and the complementarity of knowledge and experience.

The Crédit Agricole Group is happy to support the students from 21 schools and universities who enter the 2007-2008 Euromanager competition.


The schedule for 2007-2008

The competition is organized in four rounds:

Heatsfrom 21st November to 19th December 2007 (1st session) and from 16th January to 13th February 2008 (2nd session)
Semi finalsfrom 10th to 25th March 2008
French final1st April 2008 in Paris
International final15th and 16th April 2008 in Bucharest

     The challenge in previous years


    Last year, 15 teams were wearing the Crédit Agricole colours (o/w 7 supported by Calyon) out of the 150 in contention in France.

      • In the French final of the 2006 Challenge, the EFREI team coached by Stéphane Martin (Calyon – Fixed Income Market) went as far as the French final and came in second in the contest.
      • In 2005, the Crédit Agricole Group backed 15 teams out of the 174 in contention at the beginning of the French part of the competition.
        In the French final of the 2005 Challenge, two teams, viz the Edhec/Centrale Lille team coached by Finaref and the HEC team coached by Crédit Agricole S.A., finished respectively 8th and 7th in the competition.
        • In 2004, 11 teams of students coached by professionals were wearing the Crédit Agricole S.A. Group colours, viz 7 teams for Calyon, 2 teams for Crédit Agricole s.a and the LCL and Sofinco teams.
          In the French final of the 2004 Challenge on 24th March 2005, the Sup'aéro team coached by Calyon's DRF in Toulouse, came in 4th in the contest.

          Good luck to all the teams sponsored by Crédit Agricole and more particularly to the 7 teams coached by Calyon staff members.

           The 7 teams coached by Calyon in 2008


          Amongst the students from the 21 schools and universities supported by the Group, 7 are coached by Calyon personnel.

          • an Edhec team coached by Dominique Duval (Air transportation group)
          • a Sciences Po team coached by Alexandre Bédier (Corporate Coverage Group)
          • a mixed Supélec/Sciences Po team coached by Alexis Pascal (Equity Derivatives),
          • a Master Maths and Modellization and Finance team from the Sorbonne coached by Stéphane Martin (Fixed Income Markets),
          • a Master Money Banking Finance team from the Sorbonne coached by Michel Tolila (Corporate Banking Services)
          • a mixed Audencia/Centrale Nantes team coached by Thomas Damagnez (Market Risks Department)
          • an Essec team coached by Catherine Saint Prix (Market Risk Department).

           More information about the challenge


          Each team has to manage 5 quarters of a company's life on the internet. A single objective for all participants: to maximize the stock market valuation of their company.

          The competition is in four phases: 3 in the country (heats, semi-final and final) and an international grand final.

          At each stage and in each pool, the teams whose stocks is making the best performance on the stock exchange is qualified.
