Calyon South Africa is a branch of Calyon S.A. which is a part of the Credit Agricole Group (5th largest bank in the world in terms of Tier One Capital) of France. Calyon South Africa is the 3rd largest foreign bank in South Africa in terms of balance sheet. Calyon has a full branch operation which is a locally registered bank whose obligations are rated AAA(zaf) by Fitch Ratings Agency.
