Calyon Mexico was set up in 1970. The representative office offers a comprehensive range of banking products and services, including loans, cash management products, structured bond issues and advisory. The representative office's customers include major Mexican companies and financial institutions, along with subsidiaries of the Group's European customers.

Capital markets

Calyon offers foreign exchange trading (spot, forward, structured FX), interest rate and currency derivatives (local and cross-border products) and structured products (linked notes, guaranteed-capital instruments). Transactions are carried by the Group through the trading room in New-York.

Calyon Mexico Produtos financieros is a branch of Calyon. Main activity of Calyon México Productos Financieros (CMPF) is issuing debt, and granting loans, financial leasing or factoring. Incorporated on September 2007, CMPF is a multiple purpose financial not regulated entity.

With the support of the team of Latin American specialists in New-York, Calyon gives customers access to corporate finance expertise in areas such as acquisitions and asset disposals, financial restructurings, joint ventures and ratings.

With the help of the Group's network and specialist units, Calyon in Mexico assists customers in their international trade finance, focusing mainly on export credits with coverage from ECAs (export credit agencies). Calyon also has skills in project financing and asset financing, via specialist teams operating in New-York.
