Calyon

Algeria

Crédit Lyonnais and Crédit Agricole Indosuez have operated in Algeria since 1989 and 2002 respectively, and have acquired in-depth knowledge of the local business environment. Both entities, through their representative offices, have developed close relations with financial institutions, the Algerian subsidiaries of existing customers and private and public-sector import companies. These strengths are now enabling Calyon Algeria to provide effective support to its customers in the Algerian market. In may 2007, Calyon Algeria received the agreement to operate as an Algerian bank, and is opening the local market to their clients doing business with or investing in Algeria.
