 A major contender in ship financing
Since the early 1970s, Calyon has financed the purchase of new and previously owned ships for French and foreign ship owners, acquiring in the process solid expertise and a global reputation. The shipping group is responsible for the overall relationship between Calyon and shipping companies.
Working closely with central units in Paris, six regional teams of specialists based in Hamburg, Hong Kong, Oslo, Piraeus, London and Paris cover the Asian, European and American shipping industries.
Calyon finances a very broad range of assets and has more than 1,100 ships in its portfolio, including merchant ships of various types (bulk carriers, oil and gas tankers, container ships, roll-on/rolloff ships, etc.), passenger ships (cruise ships and ferries), offshore oil industry ships and floating equipment.
