Having always favoured a long-term view of the sector, Calyon has been involved in aviation finance for more than 30 years and has earned an outstanding reputation in the market. We build long-term and sustainable relationships with the major airlines enabling us to understand their business and financing priorities.
Our aviation group is organised as a one-stop-shop, an integrated global business line with aviation specialists based in Paris, New York, Dubai, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Each client is followed by a senior banker who covers a range of clients and helps provide the full range of our services.
We finance the long-haul and regional passenger aircraft, freight and cargo planes and business jets that are operated by commercial airlines, and, in conjunction with Calyon's other business lines, offer a wide range of products and expertise to our aviation clients – passenger and cargo airlines, aircraft leasers, airports and manufacturers.
For the past three years, Calyon has been involved in rail finance in the United States and recently extended its offer of 'asset based' structured products in Europe to rolling stock keepers and to freight and passenger rail dealers.
