Building on over a century of activity in China, Calyon has five fully operational branches in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Xiamen and a representative office in Shenzhen. Calyon China also provides equity brokerage, distribution and direct investment capabilities via CLSA and its JV CESL.

Extensive experience in advising and arranging major projects and close working relationships with local Chinese banks make Calyon China one of the top foreign debt financing institutions in the region.

Calyon China has pioneered a number of finance projects and was among the first foreign banks to be licensed for Chinese currency (RMB) operations.

  • Trading and distribution of a whole range of standard or structured capital markets products either in RMB or in foreign currencies,
  • With the support of CLSA, M&A advisory services, financial structuring or restructuring services and private equity fund raising services,
  • Brokerage: CLSA - one of the top securities houses for broking and research in Asia - was in 2003 the first to obtain a JV license to incorporate China-Europe Securities company Ltd. Providing equity and bonds underwritting, CESL is arranging local IPOs.
