This unit is divided into three areas:
  • Primary ECM is responsible for primary market activities for large and mid cap companies, including primary issues, initial public offerings, rights issues and capital increases, secondary market offerings and bond issues;
  • Corporate Equity Derivatives France & International (run on a joint-venture basis with the Capital Markets Division) handles leveraged employee savings plans, share buyback programs and the hedging of stock options;
  • Syndication (run on a joint-venture basis with CA Cheuvreux) is responsible for supervising the sales force and other syndicate members during a transaction's execution phase.

With respect to primary market transactions, ECM is responsible for organising the marketing to institutional clients, managing the order book, settlement and delivery, and liaising with the market risk department. It also supports the origination unit in the marketing and structuring of transactions (feasibility, timetable, demand analysis, management of equity interests, structured financing, etc.).
