To strengthen its structuring capacities and structured fund management, Crédit Agricole established Crédit Agricole Structured Asset Management (CASAM), a 50/50 joint venture between Crédit Agricole Asset Management (CAAM) and Calyon.
CASAM offers innovative structured management solution based on the most appropriate underlyings, return formulas, wrappings and performance goals according to the legal environment and the general investment strategies of each client.
CASAM Group's managed accounts platform is renowned for its high level of transparency, risk control and liquidity and creates tailor-made managed account portfolios of institutional quality.
The development strategy of the CASAM ETF range has planned to launch "blockbuster" products as well as products based on more "exotic" indices, to use swap-based replication management and to distribute through the dedicated sales force at Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux.

Crédit Agricole Structured Asset Management (CASAM) is a specialized subsidiary owned by Calyon Corporate and Investment Bank and Crédit Agricole Asset Management (CAAM).
Formed in 2005, CASAM pools all the competencies of the Crédit Agricole Group in term of structured management, alternative investment solutions and ETF.
CASAM has expertise in three fields:- Creating, counseling and managing structured products,
- Alternative asset management through a managed accounts and funds of funds platform
- The promotion of Exchange Traded Funds (ETF), open-ended funds traded on the Stock Market that replicate as closely as possible the performance of a market, Stock sector or commodity index.
One of the symbols of CASAM's alternative asset management expertise is CASAM CISDM Database, made up of over 6,000 hedge funds, funds of funds, CTAs (Commodity Trading Advisers) and CPOs. The CASAMHedge.com website grants access to the database and constitutes an excellent research and analysis tool for accredited investors.
CASAM is presently relaunching its ETF range: its development is notably based on the issuance of new products. The casametf.com website presents CASAM's ETFs and provides all the information needed to invest.
In 2007, CASAM exceeded 50 billion euros in terms of Assets under Management, which represents a growth of 16 billion euros since the end of 2006. Thus, CASAM contributed to the numerous developments of Crédit Agricole Group, as the Group was granted the 'Structured Products – Best in France' award by Structured Products Magazine for the second year in a row.
